United Aircraft Corporation plans to manufacture six MC-21s in 2021 and twice as many aircraft of the type in 2022, bringing production to 72 by 2025.
The Russian company United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) plans to manufacture six MC-21s in 2021 and twice as many aircraft of the type in 2022, bringing production to 72 by 2025, said Valery Okulov, Consultant of UAC director general, on Tuesday. UAC CEO Yuri Slyusar said in mid-November the company plans to increase production of medium-haul single-aisle passenger aircraft MC-21 to 120 per year. So far, the company is capable of producing 70 aircraft of the type per year.
Valery Okulov also said 155 SSJ 100 will be produced by the end of 2019, 185 of this type by 2020, and 215 by 2021.
