Turkish Airlines Flight Academy (TAFA), or the Turkish Airlines Flight Academy, based in Aydın Türkiye, has recently invested in an Alsim ALX simulator. The latter allows to fly up to four classes of aircraft, el ranging from single-engine piston, twin-engine piston, twin-engine turbine to the medium category jet. The aircraft is designed and approved for ATPL, CPL and MCC training.
TAFA acquires Alsim ALX simulator
Turkish Airlines Flight Academy (TAFA), or Turkish Airlines' flight academy, based in Aydın Türkiye on the Aegean Sea, recently invested in an Alsim ALX simulator. The latter allows to fly up to four classes of aircraft - single-engine piston, twin-engine piston, twin-engine turbine up to the medium category jet. The aircraft is designed and approved for ATPL, CPL and MCC training in accordance with all applicable regulatory standards. The ALX offers advanced technology simulation equipment to meet all specific training requirements. In addition, it has a proven track record of cost effectiveness and saves many flight hours.
Expanding its commercial pilot training capacity
The Turkish Airlines Flight Academy has set a goal to increase its commercial pilot training capacity to meet Turkish Airlines' growing need for qualified pilots. "As a result of our research, we decided to bring to TAFA the Alsim ALX simulator, which meets the desired flight training requirements and conditions," commented Associate Professor İbrahim Zeki Akyurt, TAFA's managing director. "Regarding the characteristics of the ALX simulator, we believe that its contribution to the flight training of professional and well-trained pilots will be high and valuable. Our preference was Alsim, as this company offers proven and reliable FSTD models."
