Singapore Airlines has selected Panasonic to deliver a broadband-connected, personalised, immersive entertainment experience across the airline's entire 787-10 fleet and A350 Ultra-long-haul fleet. The announcement follows delivery of the carrier's first A350 aircraft equipped with Panasonic's flagship inflight entertainment and global connectivity systems.
Panasonic will deliver connectivity and inflight entertainment solutions that are custom-tailored to Singapore Airlines' vision for an enhanced KrisWorld experience on board their B787-10 aircraft and A350-900 Ultra-long-haul aircraft. Singapore Airlines will be the launch customer for both fleets.
The eX3 system used by Singapore Airlines is Panasonic's most advanced IFEC system. The system will include the capability to provide broadband Internet services to passenger devices and the seatback, as well as mobile phone services.
The airline announced at the Singapore Airshow in February that it had selected Thales In-Flyt Experience to supply the AVANT In-Flight Entertainment system and Ka-band connectivity solution on its A350 XWBs configured for medium-haul operations.
