Saab conducted tests to evaluate its EAJP system.
In early November, the Swedish manufacturer conducted flight tests with a Gripen E/F to evaluate its EAJP (Electronic Attack Jammer Pod) jamming system. Saab specifies the pod “can also be used on other aircraft types”. The electronic attack pod actively sends jamming signals to disrupt the sensors in the enemy’s air defense systems. By operating the jamming system, the ambition is to make the fighter aircraft invisible for radars. The EAJP is part of Saab’s Arexis family of electronic warfare systems.
