Youri Slyusar has head of Sukhoi and UAC

To enhance this goal, and to recover financial UAC, PJSC Sukhoi Director General Yuri Slyusar was also appointed as UAC Director General since November 10. Former Sukhoi head Ilya Tarasenko will be in charge of another project. As head of Sukhoi, Tarasenko began reforms of Fighter aircrafts department, which included a strategy for company’s development and optimized the duplication in management. Company’s turnover increased of more than 50% in 2020, in comparison with 2019, and company’s external debt decreased (-15%)

UAC’s transformation includes : creation of departments in charge of the différent activity fields ; the suppression of duplications in administration matters ; the creation of Centers for services and competence ; a more coherent centralisation of management activities ; and more efficient programs for Aircraft construction, which permit more cooperation between the production sites.

Previously, as part of the formation of the military aircraft division, the Sukhoi company delegated the powers of RSK MiG's sole executive body to itself, which made it possible to centralise the management of the companies that develop and manufacture combat aircraft. The main goal is to have a more efficient interaction with PJSC UAC.

Not a new practice.

The appointment of UAC's Chief Executive Officer together with the head of the emerging division at a crucial time is not a new practice. This was the case during the decisive stage of preparing for the integration of the MS-21 and Superjet 100 civil commercial aircraft manufacturing companies into a single division. A similar practice was applied in the transport aircraft division: the general manager of the division's central company, PJSC Il, combines the management of Ilyushin with the position of UAC's first deputy general manager.
