76 Russian-made stealth aircraft will be delivered, the first probably before year-end. Vladimir Putin strives to equip at least three regiments of the Russian Air Force with Sukhoi’s stealth aircraft.
76 models: that is the number of Su-57 ordered, as part of a contract signed by the Russian Ministry of Defense and Sukhoi during the International Military-Technical Forum “ARMY-2019” which took place in Moscow at the end of June.
Sukhoi could deliver its first Su-57 by the end of 2019. In May 2019, the Russian President Vladimir Putin committed to increase the Sukhoi Su-57 fleet operated by the country’s air force.
Previously, during a meeting with the chiefs of Defense and industry’s representatives that took place on May 15, Vladimir Putin stated the Russian Army needed three regiments equipped with Su-57 by 2028.
