RUAG opens regional component repair centre in Malaysia

RUAG Aviation has officially opened a new component repair centre in Subang, Malaysia. The centre – alongside the existing facility in Australia – reinforces the company’s position as a component services hub for aviation customers and OEMs in Asia. The announcement of the opening follows a successful audit and European Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 approval.

The company says that the opening confirms its role as an established supplier, life cycle support provider and integrator of systems and components for civil and military aviation based in Malaysia serving the Asia region. The investment also reinforces the company’s commitment to the Malaysian aerospace industry through development of technical capabilities using local workforce engaging in effective knowledge sharing and skills.

RUAG is an authorised service centre for Airbus Helicopters, Bell, Bombardier, Cirrus, Cessna, Diamond, Dassault Aviation, Embraer, Leonardo-Finmeccanica (AgustaWestland), Piaggio, Sikorsky, Pilatus, Piper, and Mooney, as well as a service centre for 328 Support Services, Hawker Beechcraft, Viking und MD Helicopters.
