Qatar Airways to launch A350-1000 on Far East routes

Qatar Airways is introducing the A350-1000, equipped with the airline’s Qsuite, on flights to and from Singapore and Tokyo in the coming months.

Qatar Airways has announced that it is introducing the A350-1000, equipped with the airline’s Qsuite, on flights to and from Singapore’s Changi Airport from 1st November 2018. The aircraft will also be introduced daily to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport from 1st January 2019.

The two cities will be the first of the airline's Far East network to welcome the A350-1000 equipped with Qsuite. Two of Singapore’s triple-daily A350-900 services will gradually transition to the A350-1000 starting from 1st November 2018. The route is expected to be served entirely with the A350-1000 by April 2019.

The airline earlier announced that was introducing the A350-1000, for which it is the global launch customer, on its New York JFK route starting 28th October 2018. The aircraft is already being operated on Qatar Airways' daily non-stop service between Doha and London.

The A350-1000 offers 327 seats across two cabins — 46 Qsuite Business Class seats and 281 extra-wide 18-inch seats in Economy Class. The Qsuite features the industry’s first-ever double-bed in business class. Sliding panels allow passengers in adjoining seats to transform their space into private cabins so business colleagues, families and friends can work, socialise and dine together during the flight.

Qatar Airways received the first of its 37 A350-1000s in February.
