The Danish lessor, specialized in regional airplanes has firm committed to acquire 35 ATR 72-600s, plus 35 options as well as an additional 35 purchase rights.
The lessor, specialized in regional airplanes — NAC (Nordic Aviation Capital) and ATR have marked this second day of the 2019 Paris Air Show. They announced a letter of intent about a firm order of 35 ATR 72-600 aircraft and 35 further options as well as and additional 35 purchase rights. A $2 billion contract for the 105 aircraft.
The delivery of the 35 aircraft firmly ordered will start in 2020 and continue until 2025. The new deal caps a long and successful partnership between NAC and ATR. Since 2010, more than a 100 speculative orders of ATR’s aircraft have been converted in NAC’s deliveries.
NAC Chairman Martin Møller said: “The ATR72-600, with a significant fuel burn advantage drives lower costs and emissions making it the optimal choice for many of our clients. Aviation is moving towards a sustainable future and with this 100+ aircraft deal, we are making a strategic decision to ensure that airlines can lease and operate the most modern and eco-responsible regional aircraft available in the market.”
