During the 2019 Paris Air Show, Elbit Systems will present its new drone: Hermes 45.
On June 11th, Elbit Systems announced its new drone Hermes 45 would be unveiled during the Paris Air Show. Tactical UAV responds to armies' needs. The aircraft is useful for ISTAR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target, Acquisition & Reconnaissance) missions.
Launched by a catapult, the Hermes 45 can be used in terrestrial and maritime environment. It can operate on a 200 km (124 miles) radius with a satellite link which enables to operate out-of-sight flights and to overfly extended areas.
The Hermes 45 is compatible with a large range of sensors. Elbit Systems mentions as an example the possibility to integrate, among others, electro-optic and infrared cameras, maritime radars and communication systems.
