During the first three days of this year’s Paris Air Show, Boeing announced orders and commitments for a total of 571 commercial aircraft, valued at $74.5bn at list prices. More than 360 of those came for the 737 MAX 10, which was launched at the show.

Major orders included a $14.1bn agreement with an unidentified customer for 125 MAX 8s, an $8.1bn order from AerCap for 30 787-9s and a $7.4bn MoU with CDB Aviation Lease Finance for 42 MAX8s, 10 MAX 10s and eight 787-9s.

Airbus reported commitments for a total of 326 aircraft, including firm orders for 144 aircraft worth $18.5bn and MoUs for 182 aircraft worth $21.2bn.

A320 Family aircraft sales and commitments accounted for a total of 306 aircraft worth $33.8bn. This total comprises 132 firm orders worth $14.7bn, and MoUs for 174 aircraft worth $19.1bn. In the widebody segment, Airbus won firm orders for 20 aircraft worth $5.9bn, comprising 12 firm orders worth $3.6bn and MoUs for eight aircraft worth $2.3bn.
