MRO : Sabena technics creates a new subsidiary in Toulouse

Sabena technics continues its development by integrating within its group the activities of Fleet Management & CAMO, Powerplant & APU Boroscope, Aircraft Modifications and Flight Ops & OCC previously operated within Aéroconseil AKKODIS.

Nearly 200 experts based in France, Singapore, Dubai and Montreal

This new subsidiary, located in Blagnac and headed by Francesco Aucelli, has a staff of nearly 200 experts based in France, Singapore, Dubai and Montreal. With its Part 21 J & G, Part CAMO and Part 145 approvals, its activities cover the complete life cycle of aircraft and helicopters.

50 ferry flights successfully completed

The new Sabena technics BGC page builds on the 25 years of experience of its activities, which count more than 75% of lessors and airlines among its customers and provides airworthiness monitoring for 300 aircraft or helicopters. Since its creation, it has managed more than 2,000 modification projects; in the last four years, it has successfully completed 50 ferry flights.

This acquisition strengthens Sabena technics in its role as a service provider

"We are very pleased to welcome this new structure and its many talents to Sabena technics," said Philippe Rochet, CEO of Sabena technics. "They perfectly complement our group's know-how with an organization adapted to certain markets we wish to develop. Covering activities related to aircraft transitions, they address in particular the rental industry, modifications to civil aircraft and helicopters that are lighter than those carried out by our design office in Bordeaux, flight operations and a range of other activities. This acquisition reinforces Sabena technics in its role as a dedicated aeronautics service provider providing ever better support to its civil and military customers around the technical implementation of their aircraft."
