The Franco-U.S. JV says it booked orders and commitments for just over 858 LEAP and CFM56 engines at the 2018 Farnborough Airshow.
CFM International (GE/Safran) says it booked orders and commitments for 858 LEAP and CFM56 engines at the 2018 Farnborough Airshow, in addition to long-term services agreements.
These orders and commitments are worth $15.7bn at list prices and take CFM's 2018 orders to date to more than 2,200 engines.
The company recently delivered the 1,000th LEAP engine, as it continues the transition from the CFM56 and ramps up production of the LEAP, primarily to meet surging demand for the A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX.
