Honda Aircraft Company has revealed an upgraded version of the HondaJet offering an extended range and advanced avionics system incorporating additional performance management functions.
Honda Aircraft Company revealed a new, upgraded version of the HondaJet, the "HondaJet Elite," at a special event on the eve of the 2018 European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland.
The HondaJet Elite offers an extended range of an additional 17% (+396km) and is equipped with a newly developed noise attenuating inlet structure that lines each engine and reduces high frequency noise to enhance cabin quietness. The Elite also offers an advanced avionics system incorporating additional performance management functions for optimum flight planning and automatic stability and protection functions to enhance safety of flight.
The HondaJet Elite also claims to offer the best fuel efficiency in its class while also featuring best-in-class speed, altitude and range. The aircraft is type certified by the FAA and EASA. It is on display for the first time to the public at the show.
Other Elite features include a range of 1,437 nautical miles, optimized performance planning for all phases of flight, Takeoff/Landing Distance (TOLD) management, Stability and Protection with Roll and AoA Functions, and AFCS Coupled Go-Around with Underspeed Protection.
Also at the Show, the company announced that it has expanded sales of the HondaJet to the Middle East with the appointment of Jetex Flight Support as an authorized sales representative based in Dubai. Jetex will represent Honda Aircraft’s sales in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Lebanon, Pakistan, Jordan, Turkey and Kuwait.
