Airbus Corporate Jets and Italy’s Pagani Automobili have unveiled the Infinito cabin design for the ACJ319neo at the European business aviation show in Geneva.
Airbus Corporate Jets and Italian supercar designer Pagani Automobili have announced a new cabin design for the ACJ319neo. The concept, called Infinito, was unveiled at the EBACE European business aviation show in Geneva on 22nd May.
One of the most striking features of the Infinito cabin is its sky ceiling, which can bring a live view of the sky above the aircraft into the cabin – or display other images. The aim is to create a feeling of airiness and space.
The designers have sought to use curves inspired by nature to form a pathway through the cabin. The same curves feature in the shell-shaped "valances" and walls between zones – including one between lounge and conference areas, which switches from opaque to transparent at the touch of a button.
Sculpted metal features, mirroring those found in Pagani supercars, are used in light-fittings and other details, while light-emitting diodes (LEDs) enable different mood-lighting ambiances.
Time will tell whether the new concept is enough to give fresh momentum to ACJ sales.
