In conjunction with French President Emmanuel Macron's state visit to China, CFM International finalized a Rate-Per-Flight-Hour (RPFH) agreement with Colorful Guizhou Airlines. The 50/50 joint company between GE and Safran Aircraft Engines will equip the Chinese airline’s future fleet of up to 35 Airbus A320neo aircraft with LEAP-1A engines. The agreement is valued at approximately $1.0 billion at list price. Under the terms of the agreement, the manufacturer will supply five spare engines to the airline. CFM Services also guarantees maintenance costs for Colorful Guizhou Airlines’ LEAP-1A engines on a dollar per engine flight hour basis.
