Cebu Pacific confirms the sixteen Airbus A330-900s of a Memorandum of Understanding which also includes ten Airbus A321XLR and five A320neo aircraft.
Cebu Pacific has just converted into a firm order part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed with Airbus covering sixteen A330-900, ten Airbus A321XLR and five A320neo aircraft. Airbus will provide the Philippine airline with a higher-capacity version of the A330-900, with up to 460 seats in a single-class configuration. Indeed, Cebu Pacific intends to operate its wide-body aircraft, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, on trunk routes with high traffic density within the Philippines and the rest of Asia, as well as on longer range services to Australia and the Middle East. With Cebu Pacific’s order, the Airbus A330neo order backlog nears 300 firm sales, currently totalizing 276 sales.
