Airbus Helicopters strengthens its presence on the Italian market by acquiring its distributor Aersud Elicotteri which will be integrated to Airbus Helicopters’ global network of customer centers.
Airbus Helicopters has just acquired its Italian distributor Aersud Elicotteri, based in the North of the peninsula, near Verona. The company helped Airbus Helicopters gain some market shares in Italy — especially in sectors such as employment in aviation, business aviation and medical emergency services — thanks to the single-engine H125 and the twin-engine H145 which “are particularly suited to the country’s mountainous conditions”. “With over 250 helicopters in service and more than 90 operators in the country, Italy is an important market for Airbus Helicopters, and we are here to stay”, said Bruno Even, Airbus Helicopters CEO. Aersud Elicotteri will be fully integrated in Airbus Helicopters’ global network of customer centers.
