Air France: relaunching its cadet pilot program

Air France is giving its future pilots the opportunity to join its cadet pilot program.

New recruitments at Air France

The Air France Cadet program had been suspended following the Covid-19 pandemic, the airline is preparing to reopen its doors with the recruitment of new aspiring pilots by the end of the year. After a rigorous selection process, the aspiring pilots will receive a complete flight training course, fully paid for by Air France. They will join a training school for a 24-month theoretical and practical course, punctuated by several assessments. For those who successfully complete the training, positions as Line Pilot Officers are up for grabs with Air France or its subsidiary Transavia.

The cadet pilot program is accessible without any prior flying experience. It aims to inspire vocations in candidates from all backgrounds and to promote diversity. With 13% female cadets in the class of 2019 compared with 9% female pilots within the company, it notably encourages women to enter technical professions and illustrates Air France's commitment to professional equality. Applications will be open from October 15 to November 20, 2022 at corporate.airfrance.com

Continued recruitment of professional pilots

In 2021, Air France had relaunched the recruitment of professional pilots. 300 pilots have joined the company since the beginning of the year and 100 additional hires are expected by the end of 2022.
