Lockheed Martin received an order to deliver 50 C-130Js to the U.S. armed forces.
On January 13, Lockheed Martin announced the completion of the Multiyear III contract with the United States government. This agreement provides that the U.S. manufacturer will supply 50 C-130Js for a total amount of $3 billion. 24 aircraft will go to the U.S. Air Force, 20 to the Marine Corps and the remaining 6, subject to an option, will be able to equip the Coast Guard. The 50 C-130J aircraft should be delivered to the U.S. armed forces between 2021 and 2025. A large contract therefore for Lockheed Martin which sees in the U.S. market significant commercial opportunities. Indeed, because of the size of the U.S. defense, the domestic market represents a significant part of the industrialists’ sales.
