First Thai A350-900 to fly soon

The first of four A350 XWBs for Thai Airways International has rolled out in full livery from cabin furnishing & engine installation at the Airbus Toulouse Final Assembly Line. The aircraft is now ready to proceed to further ground and flight testing. This first A350-900 is scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2016.

Thai’s A350 XWB will offer a two-class service. Royal Silk Class seats are arranged four abreast in a 1-2-1 configuration for a total of 32 seats, with a width of 21 inches which can be adjusted to its full-lie flat 180 degrees.  Economy Class seats are arranged nine abreast in a 3-3-3 configuration for a total of 289 seats, with a 32-inch pitch and 18-inch width.

Thai says it has redesigned the cabin interior and mood lighting to align with the Royal Orchid Service in Thai contemporary design and onboard products and service.

Airbus has 267 firm orders from Asia-Pacific carriers for the A350, representing over one-third of total A350 sales to date.
