The first A330neo for launch operator TAP Air Portugal — an A330-900 designated MSN1819 — has completed a 4h 32mn maiden flight.
The aircraft now joins the fleet of two A330-900 test aircraft that have been performing flight tests since 19 October 2017.
MSN1819, the first aircraft fitted with the Airspace by Airbus cabin, is equipped with a reduced set of flight test instrumentation for the duration of the test phase to check cabin systems such as air conditioning, crew rest, etc.
The first of the 10 A330-900s ordered by TAP Air Portugal is scheduled for delivery this summer.
The -900 is the larger of the two A330neo variants. The first A330-800 is scheduled to fly in mid-2018.
